Hiking Anniversary Day

This morning Facebook reminded me of my first hike on13th December 2020. Thanks to hiking, I became a solo adventurer. Maybe I should set 13th December as my hiking anniversary day and start celebrating it the next year by going on another hike. Here are some photos from my first hike!

Back to Hiking at Bukit Gasing

I back to hiking at Bukit Gasing after a year, but this time alone as I'm finally brave enough to navigate without my friend!
My new experience at Bukit Gasing came with a surprise! I never felt the urge to pee during hiking but recently I felt it despite using the toilet before hiking and avoiding drinks until I reached the suspension bridge!
Anyway, I was lucky that it wasn't crowded and found a spot for pee, doing a full squat and imagining being bitten by a snake! No idea if there's first aid tips regarding treatment for a snake-bitten vagina! I've read in the news that a woman died after a snake bit her vagina!
People saw snakes in Bukit Gasing in the past. I guess the only thing I can do is buy a pee funnel so I can pee while standing like a man! Ya, that's equality! Everyone should be able to pee while standing, hehehehehe!

Hiking permit: RM1000 in Malaysia

MCO.2 extended again, this time from 19th Feb to 4th March. Public parks will reopen but outdoor activities are limited to walking, jogging, recycling individually. Hiking is not allowed and if anyone violates this rule, they will be fined RM1000. Hiking-goers are making fun of this on social media by saying hiking is the most expensive hobby or hiking permit is RM1000.

My heart is broken as I can't reunite with my new hobby. I need to take a new course of life experience and develop my skills. Staying at home doesn't sharpen my skills. I still crave for hiking!

Checking Covid-19 statistics

Since the start of MCO.2, I've been checking the Covid-19 statistics consistently to see whether the MCO is really having an effect on flattening the curve or not. On 29th Jan, only 3 days after the end of MCO.2, in the light of 5725 cases reported, its apparent that Covid-19 has become as fat as Gluttony in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood anime.

But since then, the statistics shows Covid-19 is getting a slight change in its diet. I really hope MCO helps Covid-19 to loose some weight and the government orders the opening up of hiking areas. I just found a new hiking area and can't wait to see the end of MCO.

MCO Extension

MCO extended to 4 Feb due to the spike of Covid-19 recently. Again a new record of 4029 on 16 Jan. Sadly can't go hiking.

Hiking as new habit

Last month, I have started hiking in Bukit Gasing with a friend. It's a tropical forest which straddles KL as well as the Selangor state. There are several hiking trails in Bukit Gasing but we are not familiar with all the routes. With each hike we would progressively try different routes and progressively make ourselves more familiar with Bukit Gasing.

Every time, we would also have to make sure to have mosquito repellant as there are many mosquitoes in some parts and sweaty hikers make a perfect feast for them.

Invisible god vs visible god

I always wonder how followers of Abrahamic religions came out with the idea of an "invisible god". This Saturday afternoon lookin...
